How to use Dockwise · Methods, examples and report help

Compare marina quotes on the same basis

For a monthly per-foot quote, berth cost = quoted rate × the greater of your vessel length and the marina’s minimum billed length. Add monthly power, water, liveaboard and other fees. Annual cost = monthly total × 12.

For example, a 35-foot vessel billed at a 40-foot minimum and $15 per foot per month has a $600 monthly berth charge. With $50 utilities, the annual recurring cost is $7,800.

Enter current written quotes yourself. Flat monthly rates ignore length. Daily quotes are normalized using 365 ÷ 12 days per month for comparison; confirm actual stay costs and rate availability. Deposits are shown separately from nonrefundable costs. This is not a live marina directory or a statement of berth availability.

Common questions

How are per-foot marina rates compared?

For a monthly per-foot rate, Dockwise uses the greater of vessel length and minimum billed length. It adds your entered utilities, liveaboard fees and other monthly charges before comparing totals.

Are refundable marina deposits part of annual cost?

Refundable deposits are separate from recurring annual costs and nonrefundable setup charges. They count toward initial cash required. Verify refund conditions and current written rates with each marina.
